The Millington Central Trojans won against the Brighton Cardinals last Friday with 83 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Millington Central blew past Brighton 83-46 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Millington Central has managed all season.
Millington Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andre Tyler, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brandon Payne, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 4 assists.
The victory was the third in a row for Millington Central, bringing their record for this year to 14-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Brighton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.
