Recap: Somerset Prep vs. Saint Andrew's Scots
Somerset Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 84-52 defeat at the hands of Saint Andrew. Somerset Prep has not had much luck with Saint Andrew's recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Alex Montes, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds for Saint Andrew's. Montes hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Vick, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Somerset Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Saint Andrew's, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Somerset Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Western at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Saint Andrew's, they will be playing at home against North Broward Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Broward Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Saint Andrew's in Florida (North Broward Prep is ranked 24th, while Saint Andrew's is ranked 96th).
