Basketball Recap: Rio Lindo Adventist Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rio Lindo Adventist had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over the Pine Tree Academy Breakers. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans who have now won six games in a row.

Rio Lindo Adventist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jhordany Barcenas led the charge by going 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and seven boards. Those 26 points gave Barcenas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of MJ Lepulu, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
