Football Recap: Union Gets the Win + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Union rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 36-24 victory over the Imbler Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Jackson Davenport produced another solid effort rushing for 88 yards and two TDs, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and one score. Dawson Miller was another key player, throwing for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Union's run defense was locked in: Imbler could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The Bobcats' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Imbler lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Paden Phelps, who rushed for 54 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 242 yards and two TDs. Imbler also got help from Pedro Rivas, who showed off his sure hands for 124 receiving yards.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Imbler, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Looking ahead, Union will square off against Adrian at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Antelopes have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Imbler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
