Volleyball Game Preview: LeRoy Panthers vs. Heyworth Hornets

The LeRoy Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Heyworth Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, LeRoy came up short against Tri-Valley and fell 2-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While LeRoy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Heyworth posted their closest victory since September 13th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Lexington 2-1.

Heyworth had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-11.

Heyworth is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for LeRoy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
