Basketball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Covington was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost to the Hammond Tornadoes at home by a 44-26 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-61 on Wednesday.

Covington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 23-16 record this season. As for Hammond, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

Covington has already played their next contest, a 46-27 defeat against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy on the 31st. As for Hammond, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-41 victory against Mandeville on the 31st.
