Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hilmar

While Hilmar didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over the Stone Ridge Christian Knights on Monday. 12 seems to be a good number for the Yellowjackets as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win was the third in a row for Hilmar, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.3 runs. As for Stone Ridge Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Hilmar will host Sonora at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hilmar knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Sonora likes a good challenge. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Waterford on the 12th.
