Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeway Roadrunners vs. Hamilton Wildcats

Ridgeway has gone 8-2 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Ridgeway Roadrunners will look to defend their home court against the Hamilton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Ridgeway was fully in charge, breezing past Power Center Academy 81-51. The Roadrunners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marjavis Chandler, who went 7 for 12 en route to 19 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Chandler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Jayden Williams was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Ridgeway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Hamilton scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 74-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Power Center Academy. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Ridgeway has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Everything came up roses for Ridgeway against Hamilton when the teams last played on January 14th, as the squad secured a 66-37 victory. Will Ridgeway repeat their success, or does Hamilton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
