Basketball Recap: Shorewood Comes Up Short

Shorewood was the 70-64 winner over Milwaukee Lutheran when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Shorewood Greyhounds fell 72-64 to the Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Greyhounds still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Shorewood still got an impressive performance from Serinity Metcalfe, who dropped a double-double with 35 points and 13 rebounds. Metcalfe's evening made it 28 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Audrey Burns, who posted ten points and three steals.

Shorewood dropped their record down to 14-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

As of now, neither Shorewood nor Milwaukee Lutheran have any future games scheduled.
