Baseball Recap: Oak Grove's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oak Grove owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cordova Blue Devils with a sharp 7-0 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Dalton Troncalli was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles. Karter Brockman was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Oak Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Oak Grove, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Cordova, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Oak Grove will venture away from home to challenge Corner at 4:30 p.m. on March 6th. As for Cordova, they will host Coosa Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cordova's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Coosa Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
