Softball Recap: Oyster River Takes Down Pelham in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oyster River walked away with it. They never let the Pelham Pythons get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Wednesday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win (which was Oyster River's seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pelham, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Coming up, Oyster River will take on Campbell on Saturday. Campbell will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Oyster River surely won't give up without a fight. Pelham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
