Jefferson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Edison, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Jefferson put the hurt on Edison with a sharp  14-3 victory on Tuesday. The  win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three  contests in a row.
 Danielle Calvario made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   three  hits. That's the fewest  earned runs  she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mia Torres, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Alex Castillo, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Jefferson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edison only posted  an  OBP of  .321.
Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Edison,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10-1.
 Looking ahead, Jefferson will square off against Burbank at 11:30  a.m.  on Saturday. Burbank's pitching crew has only allowed three  runs per game  this season, so Jefferson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Edison, they will head out to  square off against Brackenridge  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Edison is facing Brackenridge at the right time seeing as Brackenridge is stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak.
