Volleyball Recap: Perry Meridian Now 11-2 over Last 13 Games

Perry Meridian won the last time they faced Martinsville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Artesians with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Perry Meridian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Martinsville between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-17.

Joseph Lian paced Perry Meridian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lian got some help from Thomas Cung and his 22 assists. Cung was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Perry Meridian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Martinsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry Meridian will venture away from home to square off against Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Martinsville, they will head out to challenge Terre Haute North Vigo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
