Soccer Game Preview: Sonoraville vs. North Cobb Christian

The Sonoraville Phoenix will head out to take on the North Cobb Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonoraville will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Sonoraville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Calhoun. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Sonoraville's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Calhoun are ranked 248th).

Skyler Bunch and Jaren Sanchez scored both of Sonoraville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Cobb Christian). They put the hurt on Rockmart with a sharp 7-0 win last Tuesday. North Cobb Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by three goals or more this season.

Sonoraville's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for North Cobb Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
