Baseball Recap: Bellevue East Chieftains vs. North Platte Bulldogs
Bellevue East lost to North Platte on Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. Bellevue East blew past North Platte 16-10.
Ben Shearer made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Shearer was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ricky Scarpello was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ethan Greenwell, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
