Basketball Recap: Acadiana Christian Beats Mount Olive Christian for Their Fourth Straight Win

Acadiana Christian had won three straight games and Kollin Thibeaux did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Acadiana Christian Lions claimed a resounding 79-18 victory over Mount Olive Christian thanks in part to Thibeaux, who went 14 of 22 on his way to 31 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Acadiana Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Hebert, who posted nine points and five rebounds. Those nine points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Mount Olive Christian still got an impressive performance from Dylan Lewis, who put up 16 points. That was a full 88.9% of Mount Olive Christian's points, marking the 24th time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Acadiana Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game.
