Baseball Recap: Gilman Comes Up Short

Gilman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cadott Hornets. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

Lucas Halida was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Gilman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Cadott, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, Gilman will head out to square off against New Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cadott, they will host Bloomer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
