Basketball Recap: Whitko Wins Going Away Against Lakewood Park Christian

Whitko won the last time they faced Lakewood Park Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Whitko Wildcats walked away with a 46-33 win over the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers. The match marked the Wildcats' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitko to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Harman, who posted 11 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Easton Grable was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Whitko smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Lakewood Park Christian still got an impressive performance from Avery MacFarlane, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. MacFarlane has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last five times he's played. Noah Carnahan also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

The win snapped Whitko's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8 record. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Whitko wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-39 loss against Southwood on the 17th. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-24 victory against Hamilton on the 14th.
