Softball Recap: Warde Comes Up Short

If Warde was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Coginchaug Regional on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the St. Joseph Cadets on Thursday, falling 6-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Warde now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Warde will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Danbury at 12:00 p.m. on May 3. As for St. Joseph, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 18-2 win against Sheehan on the 19th.
