Soccer Game Preview: Doherty vs. Lewis-Palmer

Doherty is 0-4 against Lewis-Palmer since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. Doherty will head out to take on Lewis-Palmer at 7:00 p.m.

Doherty is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They fell just short of Colorado Springs Christian by a score of 4-3 last Thursday. Doherty's loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

They hit Colorado Springs Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Arianna Riehl, Lily Quinene, and Nahlaya Burns.

Meanwhile, Lewis-Palmer's game last Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand Pueblo West a 1-0 shutout. Brooklyn Ellis had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Lewis-Palmer got from the refs.

Lewis-Palmer's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-2. As for Doherty, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Doherty couldn't quite get it done against Lewis-Palmer in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can Doherty avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
