Softball Recap: Quitman Comes Up Short

If Quitman was riding high fresh off their 34-0 takedown of Heidelberg last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Meridian Wildcats on Friday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Quitman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ALLIE MOSLEY, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Meridian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Quitman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-0 defeat against Northeast Jones on the 8th. As for Meridian, they have also already played their next game, a 13-3 loss against Sebastopol on the 5th.
