Basketball Recap: Biggs Piles Up the Points Against Maxwell

Biggs won the last time they faced Maxwell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Biggs Wolverines claimed a resounding 61-31 win over the Maxwell Panthers. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Biggs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Seipert, who posted 12 points and eight assists. The dominant performance gave Seipert a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Brady Smith, who had 12 points along with seven assists and five boards.

Seipert wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Biggs was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maxwell only posted eight assists.

Maxwell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tanner Vierra, who scored seven points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Macklin Kuska, who earned four points.

Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points over those games. As for Maxwell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Biggs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-40 defeat against Durham on the 13th. As for Maxwell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-50 loss against Portola on the 13th.
