Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Maya Makalusky of Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers) is the 2024-25 Indiana MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4 senior led the Royals to a 27-1 record and appearance in the Class 4A state semifinals.

For the season, Makalusky averaged 22.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. A finalist for Indiana Miss Basketball, she broke the school record for career scoring with 1,933 points.
