Holy Cross's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-59 win over the Beechwood Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since December 3, 2024.

Holy Cross has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Beechwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Cross won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Newport Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
