Football Game Preview: Miller Grove Wolverines vs. Salem Seminoles + Official Tickets

The Miller Grove Wolverines will challenge the Salem Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Miller Grove will be strutting in after a victory while Salem will be coming in after a defeat.

If Salem heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Miller Grove took over last week. The Wolverines came out on top against South Atlanta by a score of 14-7 on Friday. The 14-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Miller Grove found their leader in sophomore Michael Fuller, who rushed for 147 yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Miller Grove proved: they limited South Atlanta to a paltry 0.8 yards per carry. The Wolverines' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.3.

Meanwhile, Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Redan 47-7. The Seminoles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-0.

Miller Grove has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.7 points on average over those games. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything went Miller Grove's way against Salem in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Miller Grove made off with a 28-6 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Seminoles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
