Soccer Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Elk Grove

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pleasant Grove, Elk Grove was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Monterey Trail Mustangs out 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Thundering Herd: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in January, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Kainoa Hernandez and Brody Da Silva scored both of Elk Grove's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Elk Grove pushed their record up to 7-10-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matchups. As for Monterey Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10-4.

As of now, neither Elk Grove nor Monterey Trail have any future games scheduled.
