Basketball Recap: Azaria Kimble's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Corvian Community over Pine Lake Prep

Corvian Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pine Lake Prep Pride. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-29 back in January.

Corvian Community lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Azaria Kimble, who posted eight points.

Pine Lake Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Garrett, who put up 12 points. Raegan Blickley was another key player, putting up nine points.

Corvian Community's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Pine Lake Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-16.

Coming up, Corvian Community is taking a road trip to take on Bradford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Corvian Community has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will be playing at home against Community School of Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Community School of Davidson has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
