Football Recap: Madison Comes Up Short at Home Against Santa Fe Christian + How To Watch

Madison unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 30-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Christian Eagles on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Isaac Logo Diaz threw for 107 yards and two TDs. Romeo Pepi was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Adrian Sola rushed for 43 yards.

Dax Labrum was nothing short of spectacular for Santa Fe Christian: he threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. The dominant performance also gave Labrum a new career-high in rushing yards (14). Chase Woolley was Labrum's top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and one score.

Coming up, Madison will venture away from home to face off against Steele Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Valley Center at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
