Meanwhile, Maud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bowie.

Keira Mangtamag put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Mangtamag has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Mangtamag was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Samantha Barnett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with a double.
