Encinal is 10-0 against Tennyson since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Encinal Jets are taking a road trip to take on the Tennyson Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Encinal is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Encinal is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 58 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Mt. Eden on Friday. They came up short against the Monarchs, falling 56-30. The game marked the Jets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tennyson played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by El Cerrito 72-34. The Lancers were down 57-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Encinal will have to keep a close watch on James Walker and Matthew Lorje, a pair of players who had a big impact on Tennyson's prior game. Walker posted eight points and 17 rebounds, while Lorje had seven points. Walker has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times he's played.

Encinal's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tennyson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Encinal skirted past Tennyson 68-66 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Tennyson's Larrie Noble, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Encinal to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
