Volleyball Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

Decatur lost against Cullman back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Raiders fell 2-0 to the Bearcats.

Decatur was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22.

Emma-Glenn Roby paced Decatur's offense, picking up five kills. Roby were helped by Riley Chism and Sarah Roberts, who contributed five assists each.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Cullman, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Decatur will take on Athens at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cullman, they will head out to take on Bob Jones at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
