Big Walnut barely beat Dublin Scioto the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles blew past the Irish 3-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

While Big Walnut won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 28-26.

Nathaniel Weaver paced Big Walnut's offense, picking up 11 kills. Weaver got some help from Bryce Lawhun and his 26 assists. Lawhun was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Big Walnut's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Dublin Scioto, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Big Walnut is set to face off against their familiar foe Westerville North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dublin Scioto will challenge rival Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
