Softball Recap: Nyack Takes a Loss

Nyack managed to slip by Tappan Zee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Hawks came up short against the Dutchmen on Tuesday, falling 13-0. The Red Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dutchmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Nyack has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Tappan Zee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Nyack will welcome Pearl River at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Tappan Zee will be paying especially close attention to the Red Hawks' contest: after the Red Hawks face off against Nanuet, they'll take on Tappan Zee again at 4:30 p.m. on May 7.
