It was a Battle of the Birds when Menendez challenged Warner Christian Academy on Monday. The Falcons came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Menendez was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 18-25, 25-19.

Isaac Bailey paced Menendez's offense, picking up 21 kills. Bailey got some help from Alex Fischer and his 19 assists. Jake Fischer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Menendez picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Warner Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Menendez has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Creekside on the 15th. As for Warner Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Toros will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
