Stafford is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Massaponax a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Stafford Indians will be playing at home against the Massaponax Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Stafford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Stafford made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Riverbend, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Indians fell just short of the Bears by a score of 9-7 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since April 14th.

Angela Dreistadt spent all 11 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 15 hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Emily Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Hall, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Massaponax fell victim to North Stafford and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Wolverines, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Massaponax's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Everything went Stafford's way against Massaponax when the teams last played back in April, as Stafford made off with an 11-3 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
