Laingsburg dropped their record down to 10-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Lansing Christian Pilgrims by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wolfpack were not able to get on the board.

As for Lansing Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch.

For Lansing Christian's part, not much got past Ethan Damesworth, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Laingsburg off the board. Damesworth has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lansing Christian's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Collin Leavitt, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Looking ahead, Laingsburg will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Pewamo-Westphalia at 4:00 p.m. As for Lansing Christian, they will head out to challenge Perry at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
