Football Recap: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Takes a Loss

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Abington Green Wave 41-14. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Green Wave are ranked 49th).

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Abington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sandwich at 6:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Abington, they will square off against Middleborough at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Green Wave their first taste of in-conference action this season.
