Genoa Area waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rossford Bulldogs 42-14. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 591st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Genoa Area's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Rossford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Genoa Area is set to take on their familiar foe Eastwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rossford will face off against rival Fostoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
