Volleyball Recap: Bellevue East Chieftains vs. Millard West Wildcats

Bellevue East came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Millard West Wildcats. The Chieftains have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-8, 25-14.

Elizabeth Manning paced Bellevue East's offense, picking up six kills. Manning got some help from Riley Homan and her ten assists.

Millard West got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Torpy out in front who had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Torpy has posted since October 2nd. Stella Neal was another key player, getting ten digs and two assists.

Bellevue East's defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Millard West, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Bellevue East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Millard West, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Lincoln Southwest on the 29th.
