Soccer Recap: Altamont Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Altamont was not quite Newton's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Altamont haven't had much luck with Newton recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newton, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Altamont will face off against Carlyle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newton, they will take on Effingham in a tournament on Thursday.
