Softball Recap: Elizabethtown Beats North Hardin for Their Fifth Straight Win

Elizabethtown came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the North Hardin Trojans 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since May 15, 2024.

Alexys Waisbrot was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Swift, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Elizabethtown's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for North Hardin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Elizabethtown will challenge Central Hardin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Hardin, they will head out to square off against Green County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
