Basketball Game Preview: Baker County Wildcats vs. Union County Fightin' Tigers

The Baker County Wildcats and the Union County Fightin' Tigers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.

On Monday, Baker County ended up a good deal behind Fernandina Beach and lost 64-46. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Pirates are ranked 171st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Union County). They breezed by Middleburg to the tune of 81-43 on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Fightin' Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Union County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Baker County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
