Western Hills faced Tates Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Commodores by a score of 3-2. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Western Hills started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 23-25, 25-18, 26-24, 15-13.

Max Gleason paced Western Hills' offense, picking up 15 kills. Gleason got some help from Shiv Patel and his 33 assists. Patel was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Tates Creek, the win got them back to even at 9-9-1.

Western Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tates Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Lafayette on the 8th.
