Volleyball Recap: Cook County Vikings vs. Red Lake Warriors

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cromwell, Cook County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Red Lake Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Cook County easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17.

Scarlet Higgins paced Cook County's offense, picking up four kills. Higgins got some help from Bea Mueller and her seven assists. Mueller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

The win got Cook County back to even at 1-1. As for Red Lake, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Cook County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Kelley on the 23rd. As for Red Lake, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blackduck at 5:45 p.m. on September 16.
