Baseball Recap: North Hills Christian Comes Up Short

If North Hills Christian was feeling good fresh off their 17-3 takedown of North Rowan last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Hills Christian Eagles fell just short of the Statesville Christian Lions by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Hills Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cohen Benfield, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

North Hills Christian now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, North Hills Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Statesville Christian, they will host Sheets Memorial Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
