Softball Recap: Clearfield's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clearfield can now relate to. They fell 10-6 to the Olympus Titans on Thursday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Emma Dishongh was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Skylar Davis was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

The defeat snapped Clearfield's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-9 record. As for Olympus, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

While Clearfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
