Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots vs. Milton Eagles
The Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 82-60 walloping at the hands of Milton. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), Mount Pisgah Christian still had to take the loss.
Leading Milton to victory were Londyn Walker and Nya Smith. Walker dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 assists, while Smith shot 4-for-8 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Milton's points. Another player making a difference was Caroline Young, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Mount Pisgah Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Milton, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.
Mount Pisgah Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Milton will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against South Forsyth at 4:00 p.m. on February 13th. South Forsyth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Milton is ranked 20th).
