East Rowan has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northwest Cabarrus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The East Rowan Mustangs will welcome the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans at 7:00 p.m. East Rowan will be strutting in after a win while Northwest Cabarrus will be coming in after a loss.

Northwest Cabarrus will be up against a hot East Rowan team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. East Rowan came out on top against Mooresville by a score of 13-8 on Wednesday.

Harrison Ailshie was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Brady Ailshie looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

Back at the plate, Braylen Ketchie was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Keaton Walker was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

East Rowan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mooresville struck out nine times.

Meanwhile, Northwest Cabarrus came up short against West Cabarrus on Thursday and fell 12-7.

Ian Stewart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lancaster, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Northwest Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

East Rowan took their win against Northwest Cabarrus when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Will East Rowan repeat their success, or does Northwest Cabarrus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
