Football Recap: Manzanola Bobcats vs. Primero Bulldogs
After flying high against Antonito last Friday, Manzanola came back down to earth. The Manzanola Bobcats were outmatched by the Primero Bulldogs on the road and fell 68-7. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.
Manzanola's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Primero, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manzanola will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Hanover at 1:00 p.m. on September 21st. As for Primero, they are taking a road trip to take on La Veta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Primero is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
