Volleyball Recap: North Shore's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

North Shore came into Friday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Klein Forest Eagles on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: North Shore took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-15.

Zyriah Hailey had a dynamite game, getting nine aces and seven digs. Those nine aces gave her a new career-high. Jenesis Meyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

They weren't the only good server: North Shore was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Klein Forest only served five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Klein Forest lost, don't look at Kayla Tran. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and two aces.

North Shore's record now sits at 2-5. As for Klein Forest, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

North Shore has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Angleton on the 23rd. As for Klein Forest, they will take on Klein at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
